RFP – Structural Engineering Services, City of Santa Monica

These services will focus on a plan review of proposed seismic retrofits for the largest, most complex buildings on the City's Seismic Retrofit List: Non-ductile concrete (NDC) and steel momentum frame (SMF) buildings. NDC buildings are due to complete retrofits by late 2027, while SMF buildings have an additional ten 10 years beyond that to complete a retrofit. Therefore, plan review of NDC buildings will most likely be the primary focus of this contract in the first two years. Currently, roughly 25 NDC buildings and 60 SMF buildings remain on the City's seismic list to be addressed.

Please note that entering into a professional services agreement with the City for seismic engineering review services will prohibit respondents from accepting resultant seismic retrofit engineering work within the City of Santa Monica for the term of the agreement. Project overview
